Wholegrain Beskuit Recipe (South African Biscotti) Ingredients: 10 cups Whole Wheat Flour 2 Cups White Flour 1 Cup Coconut Flakes 2 Cups Wheat Bran 1 Cup Seedless Raisins 1/4 Cup Sunflower Seeds 11 Tsp Baking Powder 2 Tsp Salt 2 Cups Sugar 2 Sticks of Butter 1 Cup Sunflower Oil 4.22 Cups (1L) Boiling Water Directions: Preheat oven to 356 F (185 C) Mix together all dry ingredients, except sugar. Melt butter and add sugar, oil, and boiling (hot) water. Mix liquids with dry ingredients. Butter baking pans. Place dough in baking pans. Bake for 1 hour or until cooked all the way through. Stick a knife or thermometer in beskuit. If it comes out cleanly, it is done. When done, remove and let it cool down completely. Flip upside down on baking rack/cutting board. Cut into pieces and dry overnight in oven at 200 F (100 C)
